The only moment we were alone

It was only then that we understood.

There, on the boat to heaven,

Sitting and waiting for afterlife,

watching all our happy moments,

all our kin ,all our sins,

mixed in the water under us.

There, at the edge of time ,

death gave us the perfect lesson.

The world wasn't spinning for us.

We were not something distinct,

we were not as special as we thought.

Most important of all ,we weren't the center of this world.

It was only in this boat that we saw the truth

so bright that it almost blinded us.

It was then, when we understood,

that all that mattered was to be united and carring.
